What could be more exciting than growing your own fish in your farm dam or favourite stretch of water?

Virtually all surface and bore waters suitable for stock watering or irrigation are suitable for growing fish.  It is not necessary to have running water entering the dam.  Fish will survive and grow in dams of almost any size!
Fish will live in muddy water as well as clear water.  Muddy water is not directly harmful to fish and in some cases may help prevent predation of fish by cormorants (fish eating birds).
As stocking rates depend on surface area not volume or depth, please have an estimate of your dam’s surface area available when ordering your fish.
